Reptiles
Reptiles, class Reptilia, are an evolutionary grade of animals which includes snakes, lizards, turtles, crocodilians and tuatara. The earliest known reptiles originated around 340-335 million years ago during the Carboniferous period, having evolved from reptile-like amphibians.
There are only six British reptiles:
Adders
Grass Snakes
Smooth Snakes
Sand Lizards
Common Lizards
Slow Worms
